Martijn Snoep has been chairman of the board of the ACM since September 1, 2018. He studied law at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He worked at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek for 28 years until his appointment at ACM. During that period, he advised companies from Amsterdam and Brussels on competition law in the Netherlands and abroad. From 2010 to 2016, Martijn Snoep led De Brauw as chairman of the board.
